Jennifer Sarrett

For as long as I can remember, I’ve been driven to improve the lives of others. I have done this as an advocate, a special educator, a researcher, a writer, and a teacher. I use history, humor, science, philosophy, and storytelling to communicate and motivate change. I believe that inequity can be eradicated by a recognition of our shared humanity, and want to bring tools to help others journey to this recognition. With particular expertise in the fields of health and wellness, education, and public safety, I speak about the foundational concepts of diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging (DEIB), such as intersectionality, allyship, unconscious bias, and more. I specialize in disability and anti-ableism as well as criminal justice reform and employing formerly incarcerated folks.
