Her extensive professional and academic background in psychiatry, especially in child and adolescent psychiatry, establishes her as a leading expert in the field, providing unmatched mental health care with the highest standards.
Throughout her career, she has had a transformative impact on numerous lives. She began her professional journey as a psychiatrist with the Homeless Mobile Team at Midtown Mental Center in Indianapolis from 1988 to 1990. She then moved on to lead the Child Team for Mental Health in Anderson, Indiana, for six years until 1996. Afterward, she embarked on a private practice in Fishers, Indiana, while simultaneously serving as the psychiatrist at Pleasant Run Children's Home in Indianapolis.
Her practice extended back to Anderson, Indiana, where she offered her services for almost seven years. During this tenure, she also fulfilled roles as the adolescent psychiatrist at both Northeast Juvenile Correctional Facility and Pendleton Juvenile Correctional Facility, as well as the psychiatric consulting physician at Fortville Christian Youth Home. Her career further diversified with her private practice in Indianapolis, positions at the Counseling Center at Christian Theological Seminary, Family Counseling Center, and as a consulting adolescent psychiatrist at Richmond State Hospital, along with her involvement with the Medical Staff at Community Hospitals of Indianapolis.
She also extended her expertise to the Boys and Girls Home of Alaska and North Star Hospital in Anchorage. Her efforts through the Four County Counseling Center helped pioneer psychiatric telemedicine services in Peru, Kokomo, and Logansport, Indiana. Her advisory roles included collaborations with the Department of Mental Health, Marion County Juvenile Detention Center, the Conscience Development Research and Study Group, and a Trauma and Dissociation study group.
