About
Ever since the dawn of humans, we have been driven to overcome the hazards of life – lions & tigers & bears; hurricanes & tornadoes; fires & floods; injuries from accidents, war, earthquakes; and perhaps the greatest killer – disease, which we battle more and more as we age. Our success has come from using our minds to invent new tools & techniques. As we learn more about the complexities life, our tools, techniques, & medicines must also become more and more complex. Innovation is forced upon us by evolution. Becoming more powerful problem-solvers (creative problem-solvers) is required for growing into the future. To handle the great and increasing complexities, humans have created an electrical-mechanical mind – the computer. Yet, this also stretches the limits of our minds. Today, technology has become even more mind-boggling with artificial intelligence (AI). Of course, the most complex issues facing all of us every day are the enigma of the human mind and getting along with other people. Nevertheless: "If you can drive a car, then you can understand your mind, your emotions, and computers." Let JAK take you (and your staff) on a “test drive”.
The Creativity Game - Enhancing Your Creativity & Problem-Solving Skills
Workshop, Training, Webinar • 45 minutes, half day, full day
In webinars and workshops, JAK uses The Creativity Game to exercise and enhance creative problem-solving skills of attendees. The game becomes a catalyst to facilitate attendees solving any issue or problem at hand. The structure of the game introduces a problem/issue in Round 1. The game uses the "BELLIES" system in Round 2 to better describe and understand the problem. The game continues through three more creative rounds intended to generate a "blueprint analogy" – a possible way to solve the problem. In Round 6, the “Champion” of the analogy presents the merits while the “Devil’s Advocate” highlights the flaws. Then the “Judge” (usually the funding source) chooses to go forward with the “blueprint analogy” or describes an issue preventing a decision. If a decision cannot be made, either the game can be played again with the same initial criterion for Round 1, or the issue preventing a decision can be introduced as the problem for Round 1, and the game commences again. In other words, The Creativity Game can be played reiteratively to solve problems. Each time the game is played, an alternative “blueprint analogy” gets created.
