Can You Reinvent Your Career Over 50?
Longevity statistics show that if you retire today at 65, you have a very good chance of living another 30 years, or approximately 1/3 of your life span. Is that what you want? Is that something you can actually afford? Most people over 50 are unprepared financially for a 30-year retirement - nor do they want to disengage from the economy, or from their working life. Working and being productive not only brings in the money you're going to need when you eventually have to retire, it also maintains your health, prolongs productive relationships, and keeps you engaged with what's meaningful in your life - particularly as you look to leave a legacy. In this presentation, I lay out the main reasons why working towards a sustainable career over 50 makes so much sense, and what you can do to defy ageism in the workplace, renew your sense of your value, and chart your own course towards the second act of your career.
Your perspective matters!
