Jolene King, Principal Consultant of 246 King Consulting, has 20
years business management and international HR experience gained in the UK, USA and Barbados. Ms. King has worked across several industries and sectors and has gained valuable experience and insight into the importance of health and wellbeing as well as mental health. She is a
trained Occupational Psychologist, mental health advocate and a trained and experienced HR professional. She holds a MA degree in Human Resource
Management from University of Derby, a MSc. degree in Industrial/Organisational Psychology from Florida Institute of
Technology and a BSc. degree in Sociology with Psychology from
University of the West Indies, Cave Hill campus. Jolene is a qualified
Mental Health First Aider for both adults and young people, received
'how to stop smoking practitioner' training and is trained in the
awareness of mental health problems as well as personal exercise, health
and nutrition. She is a Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD), an active committee member of the CIPD' Northamptonshire branch and is an Associate member of the Society for Industrial and Organisational Psychology (SIOP).
She regularly speaks on topics such as mental health in the workplace, workplace stress, suicide, self-care and health and wellbeing.
Ms. King's research on mental health and Covid perceptions in a predominately black country is published in the Journal of Mental Health Training, Education and Practice.
