Mr. Barnes is naturally humorous and enjoys the energy he gets from an audience. A gifted speaker, he learned his craft early, competing in public speaking competitions from local to the national levels. He has been a regular speaker in youth organizations, churches, industrial job sites, governmental assemblies, conferences and the list goes on. He has earned a Master of Science in Occupational Safety & Health, Master of Arts in Business Management, is an Authorized OSHA Outreach Instructor in General Industry and Construction. He is a Registered Environmental Professional, Licensed Paramedic, and a Certified Waste Management Professional. He regularly offers testimony as a safety expert for the plaintiff and defense in civil matters and at trial.
He received the gold award by the Association of Energy Service Companies in 2016 and 2017. In 2015, he was recognized by Zurich International as the most improved safety program. He is a former member of the Blackstar US National Karate Team and was recruited by Chuck Norris to teach leadership, life skills, and martial arts to inner city, at risk youth.
Currently he serves as the Director of QHSE, and is a board member with the national STEPS program. Mr. Barnes has published 8 training books in the areas of emergency cardiac medicine, safety, and safety leadership.
