The world and the workplace has changed dramatically. During the recent global challenges, people have become afraid and often disengaged, strong cultures are being tested like never before. While there are many questions we don't have answers to, there is one thing we do know that can be easy to forget: we have Purpose. As we move into the future, purpose is going to be the standard by which individuals gauge their career and the metric that companies use to judge their team members. By 2021, Millennials will represent more than 50% of the workplace and when polled 87% of them are willing to work for less money as long as they feel their work has purpose. Each of us began our careers from a passionate place. On our first day of work every one of us was excited, intrigued, and joyful. However, with such demanding roles, it easy for our teams to lose sight of their initial enthusiasm. Recent Gallup Poll Studies have estimated that on average, only 30% of an organization’s staff are truly engaged in their work.
