My name is J.R. I am an autism and neurodiversity consultant, a national speaker, a published author, a mentor, and an active self-advocate. I'm also an autistic adult.
At age 45 I finally got my diagnosis and realized I wasn't a failed neurotypical, but rather a perfectly created autistic person. With my diagnosis came a new chapter in my life--autism self-advocate and speaker.
I write for my blog, Not Weird Just Autistic, as well as for Different Brains, and the Mighty, where my pieces have received up to 5.3-- likes.
When I speak, I try to tell a story and make it memorable. My producer for Autism Parenting said,
. "In my opinion, viewers will love your presentation because it was real and informative but also, you speak in an engaging and entertaining way which makes it easy to listen to, and take in what you shared!"
A prominent speaker and coach, Loren Michaels called one of my presentations. "JR gave a 15-minute presentation tonight at Slam the Hammer Mastermind that was nothing short of brilliant! What we experienced tonight is TedX worthy."
