Social Worker and transracial, foundling adoptee Judith Craig Morency was found in a ditch on the roadside in Haiti, naked, covered with ants and without any identification. Adopted by a White Canadian family Judith has spent years on her journey of self-discovery. This presentation will focus on how she and other transracial adoptees navigate the journey to create their identity and find a sense of belonging. Judith will describe her own process of searching for, and reuniting with her biological family. She will provide insight to attendees seeking to understand the complexities that exist in transracial adoption.
