WHAT I DO: As an emotional intelligence (EQ) consultant, I help clients maximize their emotional intelligence to more successfully reach their personal and professional goals. Operating with an elevated EQ will significantly decrease the time it takes to get you from where you are to where you want to be, in business and in life.
After more than a decade working with high-performing individuals (HPIs) in various industries, I've determined that nothing dictates how successful a person is in achieving a goal more than EQ.
Throughout, I have applied my EQ-based approach with clients to: Refine entrepreneurs' personal images to better attract their target clients; produce a global-reaching business festival to bolster a firm's business-development strategy; and guide the marketing strategy of a former major league sports CFO's new startup to yield successful strategic partnerships.
I combine this experience in emotionally intelligent leadership, entrepreneurship, and 11+ years of communications expertise. My hybrid left-brain/right-brain approach works on both the micro and macro levels to activate systemic change inside and out.
MY BACKGROUND: I’m passionate about human potential. A writer, communicator, coach, businesswoman, and speaker, I developed the first iterations of my practice by leading and assisting individual and brand clients in achieving various objectives, from navigating toxic relationships and finding their future life partner, to brand voice development and marketing strategy.
At Stanford, I studied how people and entities exchange information and connect to large segments of the population through media, examining the psychology behind mass communication, and how the medium is evolving in today’s digital world.
Since Stanford, I have spent more than a decade in communications and business developing effective media content and communications strategies for brands, publications and executive-led initiatives. Think Allure magazine, Huffington Post, Shop Spring, W Hotels, World Happiness Summit, and more. My work has been featured in various outlets including Ebony magazine, Huffington Post, Mashable, Fast Company’s CoDesign, Entrepreneur, and Inc., and I’ve appeared on NBC 6, CBS Miami, and The Today Show.
I’ve interviewed some of today’s most innovative minds, from Diane von Furstenberg and Sarah Jessica Parker to Dany Garcia (managing partner of Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson) and Russell Simmons, applying invaluable insights to my work.
After years of working with (HPIs) in several industries, I’ve found that the success of a goal is directly related to the level of one’s EQ around the subject.
I’ve distilled my learnings to develop my cEQo approach. This is the approach I share with my clients, and with the public through thought-provoking, entertaining speaking engagements on how to strengthen one's EQ and apply it to various personal and professional dynamics in order to improve performance and minimize friction.
