Kareem Taylor is a writer, voice actor and business growth strategist.
As a voiceover actor, he has voiced advertising campaigns for clients including Sony, CNN, Toyota and AT&T, to name a few. He is most known for being the voice behind CNN’s Black in America from 2010 - 2015. The Atlanta Journal Constitution named Kareem "one of the youngest and most successful voiceover actors."
Mr. Taylor has appeared in the pages of Black Enterprise Magazine’s print publication, giving advice, tips and inspiration for aspiring creatives. As the host of his popular Breaking Into Voiceover talk and video series, Mr. Taylor continues to inform thousands of aspiring voice actors on how to break into the business. He has become known for his use of social media.
His first book, Get Your Life! The Transforming Power of Turning Fate Into Fortune is a 162-page manifesto, written on pursuing a career in the creative business. It resonated with creative audiences. The book was supported by a multi-city tour complete with bookstore visits, speeches and workshops in cities including Sydney, Singapore, London, Atlanta and Boston. He also visited corporations including Google New York and the PromaxBDA Conference New York. His talk “Storytelling in the Digital Age” has been a favorite.
Kareem’s other professional experience includes leadership roles in business development at companies including Substance Global and BOOQ, a marketing firm and a technology startup. At Substance, Kareem oversaw the business development strategy and execution for the agency, effectively creating new business partnerships. At BOOQ, Kareem’s remit was to lead the sales process.
Currently, Kareem is a contributing editor and podcast host for PromaxBDA’s Daily Brief. He interviews media executives and professionals on storytelling, mentorship and leadership.
In 2016 and 2017, Kareem was a breakout speaker at INBOUND, HubSpot’s annual marketing conference in Boston. His talks have allowed marketing professionals to acquire the tools and inspiration necessary to strengthen and nurture the work they’re passionate about.
Mr. Taylor earned his Bachelor of Arts in Mass Media Arts from Clark Atlanta University in Atlanta. He is based in Los Angeles, California, and is originally from Brooklyn, New York.
