In awe of all she's accomplished and overcome, Selena Soo describes Kathy Haan, MBA as amazing and a visionary entrepreneur. Kathy's mission is to help women realize their fullest potential - in both business and in life. As an international success and business mentor, author, and speaker, she helps women all over the world create coaching businesses far bigger than their dreams. She took 2nd place in The Pitch, is a Huffington Post contributor, and works with some of the largest brands in the world as a blogger. She is also a member of the Forbes Coaches Council and is a Certified Law of Attraction Practitioner.
As a child, she was sexually abused and kicked out of the house at 14. Later, she was a State Finalist for National American Miss Teen Iowa-USA, and a State Finalist for Miss Iowa-USA and signed to a modeling agency. Before long, she was a coke and meth addict suffering from bulimia and anorexia. What she thought was her lucky break in D.C. led to her being a victim of human trafficking. Shortly after, she found herself pregnant at 18, marrying him some time later. Dealing with an abusive marriage, crippling anxiety, PTSD, and depression, she then overdosed on 32 prescription sleeping pills in an attempt to take her life and spent nine days in the hospital.
Given a second chance at life, Kathy left her abusive marriage and was determined to make something of it. She went on to get an MBA, graduating with a 3.92 GPA, Alpha Beta Kappa, and is a former Seminarian. She's been a coach for 7 1/2 years, and volunteers extensively in her community. One of her greatest passions is her ministry helping women from the Democratic Republic of the Congo in business so that they may establish safe, happy, and healthy lives in the United States.
Kathy resides in Iowa with her husband, three children, and two Great Pyrenees.
