Kency Gilet

Kency was born and raised in NY as a member of a large Haitian-American family after his parents immigrated to the US in the 1980s. He received his Masters' in Mental Health Counseling from Pace University in 2013 and is currently a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and a National Certified Counselor. Kency has been working in the mental health field since 2007 in various roles and levels of care from New York, to Connecticut, and now Massachusetts.

Currently, Kency is the Outpatient Clinic Director of community mental health organization in Easthampton, an Adjunct Professor of Psychology at Pace University, a contributing writer at Divorce Magazine, and has a private clinical practice in East Longmeadow, MA where he helps individuals and couples navigate major life transitions such as divorce and loss. Kency is specially trained in Prolonged-Exposure Therapy for PTSD and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy.

Kency believes that everyone is capable of overcoming the worst life can throw at them - he has dedicated his career to advancing the success of all those willing to take the next step forward in living their best life.

As a devoted single father of 3 and an engaged member of his community, Kency serves on a state-wide nonprofit board that advocates for firearm education and safety.
