A dream is the interior conversation that is triggered by a very specific current situation you are attempting to problem-solve. Hidden within our dreams are personal insights that make us better problem-solvers, smarter decision-makers, and masters at managing stress. Whether you are a business or organization looking for a novel approach to team-building and creative problem-solving, or you’re planning a party or event, dream analyst Layne Dalfen offers a unique, educational, fun, and eye-opening experience for everyone.
She developed an easy-to-grasp 6-step system anyone can use to uncover why you had that crazy dream and has been the subject of numerous media appearances.
A specialist in translating the language of metaphor with a focus on solution-finding, Layne writes the column titled “Understanding Dreams” in Psychology Today and is known at Oprah Daily as their in-house “Dream Catcher”.
Layne has been teaching dream analysis to the Counseling students at Concordia University in Montreal since 2005. (See James Gavin reference below) Her interest in dreams stems from her early experience in Freudian analysis where dream work was the primary tool. She later studied at The Gestalt Counselling and Training Center in Montreal, and Adlerian principles of dream analysis at The Alfred Adler Institute. She has been a member of The International Association for the Study of Dreams (IASD) since 1997.
A sought-after speaker and respected dream analyst, teacher, writer, and consultant, Layne is the author of Have a Great Dream; Books 1 & 2
Her core message is how the solutions to our current problems appear to us first, through our intelligent, unconscious mind. If you understand the conversation that is the dream, you can propel your problem-solving skills, both short and long-term.

....As a licensed psychologist and practitioner for 40 years, I consider myself knowledgeable about dreams and their interpretation. I have yet to meet anyone who could deliver this material as usefully and intelligently as Layne does. Both through information and demonstration, Layne makes the material come alive. She has a depth of understanding of dreams and dream interpretation that I have not found in a great many psychologists, social workers or psychiatrists. This is truly her area of expertise that she has devoted herself to for decades. She is a grand master...
