Lee Silverstein shares stories of information, inspiration and hope from those touched by cancer, through his iTunes Podcast and as a speaker.
First diagnosed with a rare form of kidney cancer at the age of five, Lee was again diagnosed with cancer, this time with Stage IV Colon Cancer, in 2011.
In 2015 Lee launched The Colon Cancer Podcast, the only podcast of it's kind in the world, as a vehicle to share stories of information, inspiration and hope to those touched by Colon Cancer. The Podcast has been downloaded in over 70 countries. In May of 2018 The Colon Cancer Podcast was rebranded as WE Have Cancer in an effort to reach a broader audience; patients survivors, caregivers and medical professionals. The podcast was recently recognized as one of the "Top 15 Cancer Podcasts You Must Subscribe and Listen to in 2018."
Lee's story was profiled in the feature-length documentary film The Messengers; A Podcast Documentary, available on Amazon and iTunes.
Lee has shared his story on numerous podcasts and has been featured in an article in The Cancer Knowledge Network. He has also been recognized in a Faces of Blue profile on the Colon Cancer Coalition website and recognized as a Volunteer of the Quarter by The Colorectal Cancer Alliance.
When he's not producing his semi-monthly podcast he coaches managers and executives who are in career transition; providing them the skills and tools needed to rejoin the workforce.
Lee lives in Central Florida with his wife Linda and their West Highland Terrier, Fergie.
