Storytelling is an art that is one of the most powerful tools for a public speaker. The ability to capture the attention of an audience and make it relevant to their lives is the ultimate goal. For seven years I had a successful entertainment residency singing and playing the piano for a popular hospitality brand. The pandemic of 2020 altered my profession and led me to another gift – teaching which included public speaking. I was offered a teaching position for grades K – 12 at a private school where I teach music and other courses. My presentations are 1 hour long and consist of 3 stories and 3 accompanying original songs that support the topic. Being positive in all situations and circumstances is the focus.
