Write Around the Murray (WAM) is Albury’s boutique festival of reading, writing, illustration and storytelling. Readers, writers, artists and storytellers gather from across the country to share stories, knowledge and skills as part of a diverse and invigorating program. Our rich and varied events include panel sessions, author talks, book launches, workshops, a literary lunch, short story competitions, children's activities, a three-day schools program, exhibitions, a wood-fired oven event by the Murray River, and our annual Saturday night celebration with authors and festival goers. WAM is the only literary based festival in the region, attracting both high profile and emerging authors and presenters. Events take place in and around the architecturally stunning Albury LibraryMuseum and surrounding cultural precinct over five days in mid-September.
