We've all had that big dream or BHAG (Big Hairy Audacious Goal). Some of us have even hit it. The rest of us are still trying to figure out what we want to be when we grow up. But here's the secret that nobody shares - you don't have to be stuck doing one thing for the rest of your life. You can be anything. Even if you've fallen down, you CAN get up and reinvent yourself. I've done it so many times!
Not that any of it has been easy ... but that's where the resilience kicks in and how you have dig deep (like really deep) to find a way to keep going. I've escaped domestic violence and an abusive husband who bankrupted me. I survived breast cancer in my 30s only to have to deal with the onset of ovarian cancer and hip surgery the following year. Job loss - yup. Check that box, too.
I've done it all and I can entertain and inspire your audience! PhD scientist playing with mosquito DNA to end malaria. Big Tech executive. Fortune 10 CPG executive. CPG and Tech startup founder. Consultant. Corporate real estate sales executive. Market researcher. Marketing executive. Award-winning author. Journalist. Technology Scout for investors. Yup - and I'm not even 100 years old yet - just think of how many more careers that I've got in me!
