Lori is inspired by people, places, and their everyday adventures. Each day is made up of the moments to create the tapestry of life and Lori loves to collect these stories. In this she is a business owner, a writer, a public speaker, educator, zoom caster, and as we all are...so much more.
Connecting people and serving the community are the joys that come with being the founder and business owner of MP Benefits Inc. Many companies overlook the strategic value of how benefits add to the productivity of staff, creating a bridge between the employee journey and customer experience.
Stories connect people and help her clients align their culture and compensation through strategic benefits. This is the writers notion of show and tell ... we tell our employees our values and show our culture through the benefits we offer.
Some team-building workshops of note, include:
"Humour in Leadership"
"DEI-Bias, the Sesame Street example"
"Building employee rewards, outside of salary & bonus"
"The "Art" of Communication"
"What we leave behind--our legacy"
Lori is a published author of fiction and non-fiction. The latest, non-fiction instalment "They'll Never Know" highlights the psychological relationship between people and insurance. From ancient Greek and Roman times, through to the Slave trade, 9/11, and beyond, the book uncovers people's real relationship to the notion of insurance.
Are you curious to know IF the sinking of the Titanic was really an insurance conspiracy? How about the mobster who accidentally blew himself up in Montreal and the insurance paid out. There are stories of serial insurance fraud, faked deaths, mis-represented insured animals ... AND just how do celebrities insure body parts, and why?
Her work has garnered attention.
