Louis Apicella is a former ECHL Professional Linesman, freelance healthcare writer, author, speaker, and entertainer who doesn’t mind blabbing about his messes in exchange for your education and entertainment. Life is a great and interesting ride that offers a bounty of new material, regularly. You honestly just can’t make this up!
He had no idea his years as an IT executive, client services, professional ice hockey official, and a mentor, combined with his love of the stage, would prepare him for something he really could get excited about—speaking. What fun it has been for him to take the stories of work and life and use them to entertain, motivate, and teach professional audiences across the country.
In addition to writing health IT articles for magazines, Lou is the author of a book for all to read. During his almost 20 years as an IT Professional, Lou was able to find the humor in healthcare, customer service, hockey, and life leading him to collect hilarious comments he calls “Award Winning Complaints.” Those complaints will soon grace the pages of another book.
As a speaker, Lou addresses businesses, associations, professional groups, and schools.
His philosophy is simple, that regardless of age, gender, or anything else in life, everybody needs to laugh, and learn something new. Enjoy the principle that it is Lou’s job to see that they do!
