“I could have just one drink” I thought. After all, I had already earned my one year coin. I had it all under control and I liked the idea of having a glass of wine with my meals—it was how I imagined my life to be.
The next morning, after my “one drink,” still groggy as the room came into focus, red vomit covered me and my bathroom walls. I had zero memory of going to the liquor store, purchasing two more bottles of wine, driving back home, or wherever. Who knows?
It was that moment when I realized my recovery had only scratched the surface, I needed to go deeper into myself if I was going to succeed.
Through connecting with others MartinJon found and developed a method of seeing all things as a reflection of self. The Self Portrait Method shows people that everything they've created in their lives is a self portrait. They are taught to examine themselves through the lives they are living, changing and growing every day.
Martin has been connecting through actual portraiture for over 18 years. This new process has been developed for those who already have an awareness of self but are looking to have a hard honest look at themselves.
