In 2003, after years of a successful career as a life science recruiter, Megan Driscoll founded PharmaLogics Recruiting. PharmaLogics grew steadily for the first few years operating as a traditional recruitment firm, until the market crash of 2008. Faced with the possibility of having to close up shop, Megan instead decided to emerge from the recession with a new twist on her product offering. She abandoned the recruiting industry status quo of a 25% base salary fee and began to charge client per hour for the work performed. This well-calculated, highly risky maneuver, catapulted PharmaLogics into the company it is today – a continuously growing global staffing firm with private equity backing.
Megan’s leadership has led PharmaLogics to be recognized as an Inc. 5000 Fastest Growing Company for five consecutive years, and Inc. Magazine Best Place to Work, and a Staffing Industry Analyst Fastest Growing Staffing Firm. On a local scale, the company has won Best Place to Work awards from The Boston Globe and The Boston Business Journal.
Beyond her work at PharmaLogics, Megan is a notable speaker, published writer, and a staunch advocate for gender equality and wage transparency. Motivated by the lack of females in leadership roles in both the public and private sector, she launched the social media campaign, #doit4yourdaughters at www.doit4yourdaughters.org. Megan’s passion for closing the wage gap and wage transparency is evident through her work with Raise Up Boston to raise the minimum wage of Massachusetts to $15 an hour and her creation of the website www.wagetransparency.org as a platform for discussion of closing the gender wage gap.
In 2018 Megan was recognized as the Boston Chamber of Commerce Small Business CEO of the Year.
