In many companies, the HR professional is responsible for managing the Joint Health and Safety Committee (JHSC). A JHSC has many obligations. They must inspect the workplace, investigate incidents, and meet at least every three months among other things. But often, many committees struggle with carrying out their basic functions effectively because they are not engaged or are not familiar with how to carry out these tasks.
