Nadine McNeil's mantra is: when one of us suffers we all suffer. Yet when one of us heals, we all heal.
Nadine's mission as a yoga teacher, speaker, wisdom mentor and humanitarian is to ignite infinite possibilities in people around the world, especially within diverse underserved communities. Compassion, justice and truth are the intrinsic values that compel her to share her life experiences with others so that they are moved, touched and inspired to confront and transform themselves.
As an accomplished transformational speaker, Nadine has appeared on world renowned platforms such as Mindvalley’s A-Fest, BaliSpirit Festival, Caribbean Yoga Conference and online for the Shift Summit and Soulvana, the Mindvalley online platform that offers a plethora of mindfulness workshops and classes. She attributes her honed speaking skills to her extensive studies under the tutelage of her coach, Lisa Nichols, CEO of Motivating the Masses. She has also been featured on CNN, Australian Financial Review, Elephant Journal, Mantra Magazine and Medium for her life’s work.
Inspired by her firsthand encounters with both the resilience of the human spirit and also its suffering, Nadine’s talks, workshops, yoga sessions, Women’s Circles and retreats are continually described as powerful, moving and insightful.
Nadine is no stranger to moments of crisis. A global citizen who goes by the moniker Universal Empress, for almost two decades now, changing the lives of those that seek her help. Prior to her deep dive into yoga in 2008, Nadine travelled the world in service of the UN, UNICEF, Global Volunteer Network and Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons.
She was the former UN Chief of Operations in the Central African Republic and fell in love with Indonesia when she served as UNICEF’s emergency and logistics specialist in response to the 2004 tsunami. A decade later she returned, making Bali home as a specialized yoga instructor and personal coach, or her preferred term, ‘wisdom mentor.’
‘As a result of my vast and colorful international experience as a disaster response specialist working with the United Nations globally, I have experienced and witnessed trauma first-hand,’ she declares. However, it was in recognizing her most urgent and important disaster was herself, that brought Nadine to her knees. It is from this place of awakening, acceptance and humility that her journey into the world of yoga began.
When she speaks emphatically on topics such as diversity and inclusion, gender and intersectionality, health and wellness and personal development, people listen.
