Raphael Cohen-Almagor

Raphael Cohen-Almagor received his DPhil in political theory from Oxford University. He is Professor/Chair in Politics, and Founder and Director of the Middle East Study Group, University of Hull, the UK. Before Hull, he has taught at the departments of political science, law, philosophy and communication at Tel Aviv, Oxford, Jerusalem, Ben Gurion, Haifa, UCLA and Johns Hopkins universities. He served as Director of a large NGO, Director of three centres of excellence, Chairperson of his department, and Deputy Dean for Research. Raphael has published extensively in the fields of political science, philosophy, law, media ethics, medical ethics, sociology, history and education. To date, he has published 17 books, including The Right to Die with Dignity (2001), Speech, Media and Ethics (2005), The Scope of Tolerance (2006) and Confronting the Internet's Dark Side (2015).
