Following his undergraduate studies, Scott Donald Wiele furthered his education at the Mitchell Hamline School of Law in St. Paul, Minnesota. Accredited by the American Bar Association, this forward-thinking private law school boasts a rich history spanning over a century. Wiele enrolled in 1978 and completed his Juris Doctor degree in 1981. Wiele is deeply committed to supporting many important charitable causes in the United States and abroad. He contributes to renowned charities, global nonprofit organizations, and local initiatives in and around Hennepin County. Throughout his life, Wiele has recognized the value and significance of volunteering and has dedicated his time to numerous causes. Whenever his schedule permits, he remains open to new volunteering opportunities close to his home in Hennepin County.
Despite being a for-profit company, Islet Technology, which Wiele co-founded, never accepted funding for 10 years. The company continuously pioneered diabetes research, advanced the treatment of insulin-dependent diabetic patients, and collaborated with the University of Minnesota, UC Davis, and UCLA.
