About
The Sound Wellness Institute offers unique training in using sound to support wellbeing.
Please Pass the Calm
80 – 90% of all visits to the doctor are rooted in stress. Finding ways to manage stress is the biggest health challenge we face in the 21st century. So few people know how deeply the human being is hard-wired to respond to sound and how effective it is at helping us to support our wellbeing. There is significant research on how effectively specifically engineered music or certain sounds can reduce stress, enhance focus, boost the immune system, spark creativity, improve performance, create relaxation, induce sleep and more. In this session • explore how deeply the human being responds to sound. • experience and explore how quickly certain sounds relieve stress. • experience how certain sounds enhance well being and your ability to be present, focused and productive.
The Power of the Voice
One of the most powerful tools you have to navigate through everyday life is your voice. It is one of those things that, like air, is always there, but we pay little attention to it. Your voice is your communication center. And it communicates both verbally and non-verbally. Your voice communicates from many different aspects of who you are. Some of these ways are: Tone of voice is related to the voice of your emotions. Emotion colors everything. Your body has a voice you use every day. Your mind has a voice. And your soul has a voice. In this session we will explore understanding tone of voice and how it shows up in communication. We will experience how the voice of the body stimulates the natural healing response. We will explore the critical voice of the mind and how to use it as the learning tool it is designed for. And we will explore how to listen to the soul’s voice.
Your perspective matters!
