On 7 July 2020, the President and Directors of the Belgian-Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce for Russia and Belarus gathered, on the occasion of the annual General Assembly of the organisation where Stefan Van Doorslaer, CEO of Ahlers, was appointed new President of the BLRB Chamber of Commerce.
Stefan Van Doorslaer has an engineering background and holds an Executive MBA from Vlerick Business School. Previously, he worked at Katoennatie, Komatsu and Christian Salvesen.
He joined Ahlers in 2006 and held various management positions in Belgium and abroad. During the past 12 years, he successfully worked on the expansion of Ahlers in Russia, the CIS and the Baltic States. Stefan Van Doorslaer has been CEO of Ahlers since 1 January 2019.
Ahlers is a global logistics service provider founded in 1909 in the Port of Antwerp. Ahlers currently employs over 650 members of staff and operates in 3 regions (Europe, CIS, Asia) helping its customers to drive future growth in complex markets, supported by a worldwide partner network and offices in key locations. The company has been present in Russia for over 25 years, headquartered in Saint Petersburg. Ahlers offers customs brokerage, international forwarding and project logistics operating warehouses in St. Petersburg, Moscow, Chelyabinsk and Novosibirsk.
Since 2010, he is also the Chairman of the Executive Committee of the St. Petersburg International Business Association (SPIBA).
