Steve Buchanan Omaha is a highly skilled and experienced auto mechanic who is passionate about working on and operating mechanical vehicles. Although he is now retired from full-time mechanics and performance diagnostics work, he still engages with his passion in his free time.
Buchanan also has considerable experience in the radio industry. He is the former producer and host of a popular radio show called Mr. Mechanic. The show was broadcasted on News Radio 1110 KFAB-AM, and it was the longest-running local show in Omaha. The hour-long show focused on answering listener questions about cars, car maintenance, and car repairs.
Mr. Mechanic's first episode aired in 1988 on Saturday mornings, and Buchanan had led the show for over 25 years. During this period, he only had rare occasions where he couldn't provide a solution to a listener's question. Two guest hosts, who managed Buchanan's Service Centers, and car expert, Dr. Mark Grabow, also featured on the show as co-hosts. Buchanan's broad and knowledgeable input and the team's collective professional experience made Mr. Mechanic the go-to radio show for car enthusiasts and mechanics in Omaha.
