Adaptable leadership: navigate change and uncertainty with confidence and flexibility.

How do you inspire a positive culture and bring people together to keep going forwards through change, uncertainty and other stressful situations? The way we think and talk about these situations has subtle and unintuitive influences on our mindset, our decisions and the actions we take, which affects our outcomes.

This interactive session gives you mindset tools to be flexible and adaptable for yourself and your people, illustrated through the lens of a sailing adventure. Contribute your perspectives. Take part in choosing what to do next.

Discover Sue’s powerful PEP framework which is the foundation for clarity, commitment and confidence.
Outcomes:
• Understand why change, uncertainty and other challenges can cause stress and fatigue.
• Gain Sue's ‘PEP Framework’ to gain clarity, confidence and commitment
• Use the sailing metaphor to be consistent, dynamic and flexible through uncertainty and change.
• Take control of your mindset.
• Nurture a positive culture and trust.

Influence your leadership presence and change the way people perceive you.

Are you acting in a way that leads others to see you the way you want to be perceived as a leader? Do you relate to any of these concerns?
 I was promoted rapidly earlier on in my career but now I seem to have reached a plateau.
 My boss says my work is excellent but doesn’t see me as suitable for promotion.
 My boss says I need to raise my profile with the senior leadership team. I’ve been doing what he suggested but it isn’t making a difference.
 How can I been seen as a peer now by the directors/managers who I previously reported to?
 I’m ambitious and want to be promoted to a senior position. How do I prepare?

We cover three key areas you can focus on to develop your leadership presence starting today.

Benefits
 Easier to attract opportunities.
 More confidence.
 Improve your authentic impact.
 Be more influential without direct authority.
 Be perceived by others more positively and as more credible in your role (particularly for senior roles).

Leadership Styles

This highly interactive and fun event involves conversations around leadership styles and the dynamics arising from the different contexts of leadership. We discuss how we can recognise a range of leadership styles including those in the ILM72 model, the pros and cons for each and situations where they can be relevant. We try out a number of tools to develop flexibility in our leadership styles.
Option: participants can do the ILM72 questionnaire after the seminar. (Additional Fee per person.)

Benefits
 Understand the impact of different leadership styles.
 Focus on delivering results AND inspiring people and engaging your team.
 Be an inspiring leader.
 Improve team work.
 Raise performance and engagement.

Train your Brain to be Confident

Have you ever wondered why it is that even though you feel highly confident in some situations there are other times when confidence deserts you?
Have you ever wished…
 You could pitch your case better to a potential client, your boss or the board?
 You felt more confident to stand up and talk in front of a crowd?
 You were comfortable giving and receiving feedback or going into a potentially difficult meeting??
 You could feel more certain you were doing the right thing and stop doubting yourself?
 You didn’t feel so bogged down and could put yourself forward for a promotion?

Then you need to train your brain to be more confident. Today we will look at three things you can do starting now that will make a BIG difference to how confident you feel.

Benefits
 Be more effective in all that you do.
 Raise performance.
 Reduce stress.
 Improve leadership.

Mental Strength for resilience and wellbeing.

Have you ever wondered what makes someone a good leader or manager? A good parent? A good athlete? A successful business owner? Usually we talk about skills, talent and ability, or strategy, plans and goals. Yet research consistently shows that these are just a small part of it. Mental toughness (also called Mental Strength or grit), makes a much bigger impact. Mental toughness is a special kind of resilience and is more than just bouncing back from adversity. It is the mindset that enables you to perform at your best even under pressure, embrace adversity, find the opportunities and thrive no matter what the circumstances.
Mental toughness is NOT about being macho or aggressive! It is about being comfortable with who you are, which is vital for authentic leadership.

Benefits
 Raise and maintain performance irrespective of circumstances.
 Deal effectively with change.
 Improve focus.
 Improve working relationships.
 Improve wellbeing and energy levels and reduce stress.

Who is in charge of your career?

Are you waiting for your manager to notice you and promote you to a role they think you could do? Or are you being proactive to identify what you want in your life and your work, know what work you enjoy most and get most fulfilment from, and what will stretch your aspirations and give you fulfilment in your whole career? Do you already know what your "perfect" future would be? Give yourself the tools and time to reflect on what you love about your work, know what you want for your career and how you can get there.

Benefits
 Clarity about your career and the various dimensions of career planning.
 A variety of possibilities to move forward.
 Clear next steps to take to advance your career.
 Reduce career risk.

Better Life, Better Work, Better Balance

As a busy professional, manager or leader how often do you relate to these common complaints?
 Work takes over my life. I end up working late or at weekends and when I am with family and friends my mind is still on problems at work, or coming up with new ideas.
 There’s too much to do, and not enough time or resources.
 I just feel tired and stressed.
 It feels lonely at the top.
This session explores how strategies to create the work/life balance you want, reframe challenges to opportunities, raise your wellbeing and fulfilment and ensure you and your organisation thrive.

Benefits
 Clarity about priorities in life and work.
 Better quality use of time.
 Greater focus at work.
 Peace of mind.
 Fulfilment.
