T. Chick McClure is an openly transgender, artist, director, and professionally-trained comedic improviser and writer from the world-renowned Groundlings Theater in Los Angeles, California. He is a Grammy and MTV Video Music award-winning director and a graduate of the prestigious School of the Art Institute of Chicago.
He writes and performs in venues across Los Angeles and can be seen regularly at Rogue Machine Theater's "Rant & Rave" Show and the Groundlings Theater. He's contributed to many a podcast about his experiences growing up with an extreme hoarder, about his alcoholic past and about being an out and proud transperson. Male pronouns if you please.
As a visual artist working in the medium of photography, he explores themes of gender, identity, and authenticity. Often, through portraiture and images of the body. His work examines and challenges the existing state of affairs relating to American social politics and culture. Especially as they relate to and impact the transgender community. His work has been exhibited in Los Angeles and New York.
