In 2016 I was shot during an attempted home invasion. Not only did I nearly lose my life but after waking up from a 5 week coma I discovered that the bullet caused a spinal cord injury which left me paralysed from the waist down...
I made a choice to fight all I could and to make the most out of the life that had nearly been taken from me despite being in a wheelchair. I am happier than I have ever been in my entire life. Now I share my story and what I have learnt with others to help them work through any adversity that they may face.
I speak on topics focussing on :
• Overcoming Adversity
• The benefits and process of Adaption
• The need For Disability Integration
I have been through having half my body ignore me, having to learn to live in a wheelchair, be treated differently now that I am disabled and come to terms with the fact that if I do walk again I would have to give up the great parking spots!
In the end the person that decides whether you have a good life is no one other than yourself...
