This interactive workshop is designed to assist front line staff with gaining a better understanding when interacting with people who are living with a disability. Some of the topics will include disability etiquette, accommodations and accessibility, service dogs and the law, and much more.

Did you know that 6 million Canadians are living with a disablity? Only 29 percent of these individuals are employed and only 8.6 percent are self-employed. During this workshop you will find new ways of assisting people with disabilities to become gainfully employed. You will also be given six effective strategies that you can implement in your workplace when hiring a person with a disability.

Employers who provide a progressive appproach towards mental health in the workplace will benefit from the productivity that comes along with investing in employee health. In the course of this workshop you will uncover a different approach towards improving the well-being of your employees. These strategies will have a direct impact on improving employee retention and job satisfaction, improve absenteeism and presenteeism, (coming to work but unable to be fully productive), and how to dispel some of the myths surrounding mental health and the associated stigmas.
