Dr. Binder’s achievements, patents, and medical discoveries offer his profession some of the most compelling and significant medical advances in recent decades. Through a synergy of advances made in the fields of computer technology and plastic surgery, Dr. Binder has created revolutionary new facial implant designs, which are now mainstays of surgical facial enhancement. He continues to pioneer research in the application of 3-D imaging and modeling technology and the development of implant methods using minimal incision techniques. In 1992, Dr. Binder discovered the use of Botox to alleviate sufferers of chronic migraine headaches.
Dr. Binder was elected to serve on the Board of Directors of the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, for which he also serves as a National Board Examiner. He has also been appointed to the National Review Committee for the American Academy of Neurology Therapeutics and Technologies Subcommittee on the Assessment of Botulinum Toxin Therapy and is an adjunct reviewer for the Archives of Facial Plastic Surgery Journal.
Dr. Binder has published over 70 (mostly peer-reviewed) articles in national medical land surgical journals and has edited three textbooks in Facial Plastic Surgery and Head and Neck Surgery and Otolaryngology.
