In 2019, I had a near-fatal car wreck near Athens GA, and subsequently have spoken in numerous events and doing interviews for charities and public events. These talks have been about mental health, the impacts of a positive mental attitude, and seatbelt and road safety awareness. I am a college soccer player, and so coming back from a major traumatic brain injury to play soccer at an elite level again after eighteen months has put me in a great space to educate and inspire.
These have included:
The Road Ahead, a state-wide road safety event in Georgia, speaking to multiple teens about the importance of safety belts in cars among other important road safety topics.
Road safety public service announcement filmed at Georgia Public Broadcasting studios, and broadcast at 2021 Georgia state high school football championships.
Spoke in front of entire board of directors at the Shepherd Centre in Atlanta, the hospital where I had surgeries and undertook my rehab programme from spine and brain injuries.
Talk in old high school, Lancaster Royal Grammar School, being broadcast on local and national news in the UK.
Talks and interviews in local and national newspapers in the UK.
All of these talks, videos and news articles are available on request.
