The story of a near-fatal car wreck that I was a passenger in in 2019, where I was not wearing a safety belt, and the driver was driving extremely fast. I underwent seven surgeries including two brain surgeries and two spinal surgeries. Although all of the topics that I speak about stem from this car accident, this particular focus is on road safety and the importance of wearing a seat belt. I show photos and videos from my injuries, surgeries and come back, however place emphasis on the fact that I was very lucky, and that surgeons all say that there is minimal probabilities that I should be alive today.

From this car accident, this is the story told from my perspective of being unable to play soccer for 18 months with a traumatic brain injury and spinal injuries, however after returning to soccer and university I have received all-conference awards and graduated Summa Cum Laude in a bachelor's degree. This talk focuses on how to stay strong and resilient when battling to come back from a bad injury, and shows that you can literally come back from the worst injuries. Athlete's, whether old or young, can take something from this talk, putting themselves in my shoes and walking through my story with me.
