Yvette, professionally...

Yvette Pegues, Ed.D.(c), began her career as a scientist and left an activist. She is a DnI Executive and Keynote Speaker, co-Founder and CEO of Your Invisible Disability Group - whose mission is to “Empower, Equip, Educate and Include Individuals with Disabilities.”

Her MCSE, IBM Engineer-to-Executive career and personal experience as a disabled professional with neurocognitive barriers prepared her for award-winning Adaptive Engineering, Adapted Sports and Assistive Technology proficiencies in prominent corporate, workplace, marketplace and education spaces around the world.

In addition to C-Suite Advisory duties, she sits on, chairs and supports multiple social impact projects, ADA and executive boards; consults on affinity and diversity group development teams, advises on state, government and federal partner incentives for inclusion; and advocates in the community she lives and serves through her 501c3/non-profit neurodiverse programs - all from her height-adjustable, battery-powered wheelchair.

Yvette, personally...

Her transformational story began at the peak of her Senior Executive career at a top 10 tech organization. She was diagnosed with a degenerative, genetic brain malformation requiring brain surgery - during which she suffered a spinal cord injury. Not only was she unable to return to her corporate career but the Ivy League recruitment scholarship option was no longer available to her. Functional recovery took 18 months and she still suffers from chronic pain, intellectual and mobility barriers.

Today, she is an award-winning keynote, inspirational, informational and motivational speaker committed to increasing empathy, inclusion and diversity in the workplace, marketplace and education. Her post-injury transparency allows her to provide recovery-based advocacy, peer support and volunteerism as well as leading courageous conversations about the intersection of diversity, diversity, equity and inclusion is the foundation of her life's work.

Why book YIDG

Your Invisible Disability Group (YIDG) was established in 2012 and exists to Empower, Equip, Educate and Include Individuals with Disabilities.

YIDG began as a navigation organization to connect disability needs to disability resources increasing "yes-rates" for newly disabled and diagnosed persons - as well as those seeking related services, support, tools, and tech. The database was initially built from volunteer and actual relationships with reliable disability support organizations around the country. As such, success rates grew to an average of 80% per caller. Services include:

- Navigation

- Keynote Speaker/Trainer

- Adapted Engineering

- Inspiration, Information and Invitation

- Consulting/Coaching

- Affinity Group Launching

The natural transition to keynote speaking and inclusion teaching arose from Toastmasters training and urgent need to represent inclusion in the workplace. Her ability to encourage courageous conversations, cultivating culture and addressing architectural and attitudinal barriers created opportunities for YIDG to expand the organization to provide additional services and programs.

The organization continues to grow, specialize and customize services with its overall mission and vision at the foundation of all it does. Feel free to reach out to hire members of the team to support the culmination of the DEnI apex is "belonging" - directly impacting recruitment and retention in the workplace, marketplace, education and corporate.

Testimonials (1)
  • There's always a pivotal moment in life when we are changed forever. I have traveled and broken bread with this Phenomenon! She is THE Pivotal Moment in a person's life! At first glance she's a pretty face in a motorized wheelchair. However, she will have you at HELLO! The source of life and energy that exudes from this vessel is riveting. She has the boldness to take chances and the natural born authority to live on purpose. She's just that type of Author that keeps creating NEW chapters .
