Sherry Grote is a strategic leadership expert, keynote speaker, author, and creator of The Harmony Hero™ Framework. She helps leaders hold their organizations together without losing their essential core, and she does it fueled by fountain Diet Coke, held together by duct tape, and dancing through whatever storm shows up next. With over two decades of experience driving growth and brand transformation in high pressure industries, Sherry discovered a defining truth. The most resilient leaders don't hold the firmest shape. They bend without breaking, patch what needs patching, and keep moving. She calls this duct tape leadership: protecting your story, values, and purpose while adapting the systems around you to meet whatever the moment demands. Her credibility is both professional and deeply personal. While leading large scale marketing and strategy initiatives, Sherry has also spent the last 12 years caring for her husband Adam after a brain stem stroke. Those years taught her that influence isn't about control. It's about staying flexible enough to hold the line and soft enough to hold the people you love, often on the same day. Earlier in her journey, Sherry earned her pastoral license, and that grounding still shapes how she leads, in life and in business alike. This blend of corporate strategy, pastoral insight, and lived resilience is what she now teaches: when story meets system, harmony happens. Today, Sherry equips leaders with practical tools to navigate uncertainty, align their teams, and build structures elastic enough to serve the mission instead of choking it. Her work helps organizations reduce burnout, increase engagement, and create lasting impact by leading with clarity, confidence, and a little duct tape.

Biography Lacey Rae Cannon is a community leader with Cherokee heritage and a nationally recognized practitioner in Indigenous ecological restoration, food sovereignty, and land-based education. She is a descendant of the Wild Potato Clan from the Owl’s Nest community near Chattanooga, Tennessee. Raised on Whidbey Island, Washington, she grew up learning practical land-based skills including gardening, gathering shellfish, herbal medicine, and wood harvesting. These early experiences shaped her lifelong relationship to land stewardship, resilience, and hands-on leadership. Cannon later married into the Waipuk Clan of the San Pasqual Band of Mission Indians and is the mother of two Kumeyaay children. After marrying into the clan, she spent a decade working in the music industry while studying business administration, building skills in leadership, marketing, and strategic planning that she later applied to community-based and nonprofit work. For more than seven years, she trained under respected Kumeyaay ethnobotanist Dr. Richard Bugbee, deepening her knowledge of traditional ecological knowledge, native plant systems, and cultural land stewardship practices. In 2017, she founded Indigenous Regeneration, a tribally led nonprofit dedicated to restoring ecosystems, strengthening food sovereignty, and supporting Indigenous cultural knowledge transmission. She also co-established the Richard Bugbee Land Relationship Center with her teacher and leads the Paradise Tribal Farm School, a living education site focused on hands-on land stewardship and intergenerational knowledge sharing. Through her leadership, Indigenous Regeneration has: • Raised over $3 million for land stewardship and cultural revitalization projects • Restored 8,000+ native plants across Southern California • Managed over 40 acres of ecological restoration projects • Served more than 9,000 community members • Distributed 2,500+ farm boxes to Native families • Created the Kumeyaay Ethnobotany Board Game and the Kumeyaay Elders Documentary Series • Established the Richard Bugbee Land Relationship Center Her ecological restoration work includes leadership of the 7-acre Jacumba Lake rehabilitation project, and her landscape design has been exhibited at the Museum of Design in Atlanta.
