Zita Holbourne FRSA is a multi-award-winning writer, author, performance poet / spoken word artist, visual artist, vocalist, public speaker, human rights and equality campaigner, community activist and trade union leader. She is the author and illustrator of the book, Striving for Equality, Freedom and Justice, a collection of poetry (published by Hansib), co-author of the book Roots and Rebellion (JK Publishers, February 2024), a contributor to New Daughters of Africa, Encounters with James Baldwin and one of 17 British women featured in the award winning book Here We Stand Women Changing the World. She has contributed to over forty books. She has given talks, performed poetry and exhibited art globally, including in the USA, Canada, France, Spain, Kenya, Switzerland, Turkey, Latvia, Romania and the UK. Zita is a mentor, workshop facilitator and guest editor for Writing Our Legacy. She writes on social justice, race, equality, identity, arts and culture, human rights and Black history for national and international journals. Zita is the Co-founder / National Chair of Black Activists Rising Against Cuts, a member of the Black Writers Guild and Royal Society of Literature, a fellow of the Royal Society of Arts and an honorary fellow of the University of Wales Trinity Saint David. She is the National Co-Chair of Artists Union England and joint National Chair of Public Services International Education Support and Culture Sector network. She is elected to the General Federation of Trade Unions Executive Committee. Recent Awards include: Jessica Kingsley Writing Prize 2023, Caribbean Global Awards Outstanding Arts and Culture award and Best Community Influencer Award, Listed on the Global Diversity List 2023 as one of ten Inspirational Role Models, winner of the Olive Morris Award 2024.

It's been over 10 years since my dad was murdered in cold blood and the case is still ongoing. The more I understood His heart for me, the more I could give THAT to my dad because with love, you can give love. Can't pour out of an empty cup, right? Many people had their fair share of opinions of my dad. And id be lying if i told some of the nasty things people said about him werent true. He was an incredibly difficult person to be around... Even though that may have been the case, God taught me how to forgive through restoring our relationship before that happened over that time span ago. There were many thoughts rushing through my head when I got that official call about his passing, but what I can confidently say is this... No matter what you're going through... No matter what you've done.... No matter who you've hurt.... No matter what's been done to you.... No matter what you have in the works and no mater what you coulda-woulda-shoulda-done better... None of that matters because the price Jesus' blood paid was far greater than the mistakes you made... God loves you outside of everything you coulda-woulda-shoulda-done better... God loves towards is based on something entirely outside of yourself and there's nothing you can do about it. Eric Aguiar LLB With 18 years in the legal field and 9 in law enforcement I would love the opportunity to show officers (of all rank) and the community the value of training the front line to be leaders. Every call for service is a call for leadership. Tactical Police Leadership aims to train the police and the public in their respective roles in the public safety mission. My main professional goal is to show law enforcement professionals (of all ranks) on a massive scale the difference between simply patrolling and policing on purpose and with purpose. Additionally better lines of communication among the facets of the department and with other neighboring agencies must exist to better accomplish the mission. The Tactical Police Leadership Curriculum: Leadership and Special Operations are conventionally separate tracks but they shouldn't because as officers are first on scene to every type of call both those skills are needed in equal measure. Three accomplishments: 1) Created a successful partnership between between the Georgia State University Staff Council and Police Department on a homeless project which proves that every partnership built between the police and the public paves the way to a safer and more productive community. 2) Spearheaded the concept of an online community of interest (which was ultimately designed by Homeland Security Information Network) to allow state school agencies to share information (bolos, training, intel, planning, etc.) on a secure portal and 3) Have developed a model in which the community can maximize their safety while showing them how to be proactive participants in their public safety role. This model is referred to as the Social Infrastructure Fortification Your 2-3 most impressive and relevant achievements.
