Brittany “Britt” Hunter is a former UConn Basketball player (‘04-‘08) and has since had a myriad of roles since her graduation. After suffering a career-ending injury her freshman year, Britt had to find a new purpose and she found her interests were tied to advocating for others. That passion led her to return to UConn to pursue a Master’s Degree while working for Husky Sport, a non-profit started by Dr. Jenny Bruening in the sports management program. Husky Sport curated a space for UConn student athletes to give back to the Hartford community by mentoring underserved children of color. That experience propelled Britt into the world of education where she served as a 4th-grade teacher, Dean of Students and Vice Principal in a Harlem Charter School.
