I am Rabbi Sa’ar Khai Shaked, a rabbi, educator and writer offering Jewish learning, spiritual guidance and thoughtful encounter across faiths and cultures. Born in Israel and based in South Africa since 2013, I was ordained at Hebrew Union College in Jerusalem in 2004. After ten years of congregational leadership in Johannesburg, I established an independent practice and founded Midreshet Africa Academy, where I serve as Dean. I speak to faith communities, educators, interfaith organisations and community leaders about Jewish wisdom, meaning and belonging, and how we live and work across difference.
