Pamela Denise Long, is CEO and principal consultant of Youthcentrix® Therapy Services. Youthcentrix® provides trauma-informed Allied & Behavioral Health (OT, PT, ST, & Counseling), implementation consulting and an immersive learning lab to facilitate your mastery of diversity, equity, inclusion, antiracism (DEIA) & trauma-informed practices. Denise is finishing her dissertation in organizational leadership and development with a focus on executive leadership of implementing racial equity through the antiracist lens, across an organization.
Ms. Long has over 20 years of experience in healthcare, business, and education and over five years in organizational development. She has worked in a level 1-trauma center, acute hospital care, home health care, schools, as a non-profit board member, a human resources (HR) business partner for leadership learning and development, and as a director of organizational development. Her academic and mainstream publications and speaking engagements focus on leadership development, resilience and self-care, trauma-informed care, racial health equity, and implementation of racial equity/antiracism. Her publications and thought pieces have appeared in Newsweek, Stanford Social Innovation Review, Al Jazeera, Thrive Global, and Authority Magazine, among others.
Her training and presentations about trauma-informed care and diversity/equity/inclusion/antiracism have been received by over 5,000 professionals, parents, youth, and individuals including education, law enforcement, non-profits, and business settings.
Ms. Long earned her Bachelor of Health Science in occupational therapy from University of Missouri (Mizzou, 1997) and a Master of Educational Psychology (learning and cognition) from University of North Texas.
