Belinda is a Certified Holistic Nutritionist, gut-health geek, PCOS warrior, mentor, and motivator. She has always had a deep interest in all things wellness, particularly in the power of food for health. She grew up in a Filipino-influenced household where the idea of home remedies and plant medicine was a family tradition.
At age 30, she found herself waking up feeling fatigued ALL THE TIME. She found it impossible to lose weight, despite her best efforts. Her doc said her cholesterol levels were high, but she couldn't lower them, despite dropping all red meat, pork, and poultry from her diet. In fact, after 12 weeks of going meatless, her cholesterol levels had risen.
At age 31, Belinda was diagnosed with Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS) and Primary Infertility. Which led to bouts of depression, isolation, and a huge roadblock to realizing her dreams of being a mom. Her doctor’s recommendation: take the pill, diet & exercise.
After disheartening research, she discovered that infertility was not the only issue related to her PCOS diagnosis. She was now at greater risk for developing heart disease (the #1 killer of women in the US), Type 2 Diabetes, and even certain types of cancer. She felt powerless and clueless when it came to her own health. But not for long...
She uncovered the power of whole food 90% plant-based nutrition, empowered mindset, and consistent movement. By making these lifestyle changes to honor and nurture herself, her mind/body/spirit was able to get back in order. She healed herself. She got her life back.
After her profound transformation, she became a Certified Holistic Nutritionist so that she could share her own experience and guide other women to feel empowered to take charge of their wellness.
Core Beliefs
