Bindi is incredibly passionate about all things startup in Europe and connecting the dots between Investors, Founders, Corporates and Government, and as a result, has worked in and around technology startups for most of her career. As a Consultant (PwC Consulting), as a Corporate (Microsoft BizSpark /Ventures), as a Startup employee (Trayport), as an Advisor (Startup Europe, TechStars Startup Weekend, Tech London Advocates, European Innovation Council, WEF), as a Connector (GQ UK, the IoD and Evening Standard have all recognised this) and as their Banker (Silicon Valley Bank). She is deeply inspired by entrepreneurship, and is the founder of a Boutique Advisory Firm, bindi ventures, focused on advising and connecting across four core Innovation pillars (Corporate, Startup, VC Managing Partners, Government) for commercial success.

She currently sits on the Advisory Boards of seven startups, one Venture Debt fund, and is a Venture Partner at a London VC. She also sits on Corporate Digital Advisory Boards, the Advisory Boards of European Innovation Council, Startup Europe, Tech London Advocates, Ambassador for Innovate Finance, Governor at the University of East London, and was recently appointed by World Economic Forum to their Digital Leaders of Europe Group.

She strongly believes in promoting Women in Tech, and seven of her Advisory Board roles are for women-founded businesses.

She joined SVB as SVP, where she focused on building out SVB's Early Stage Bank in Europe, as well as driving the Bank's relationships with Corporate and Emerging VCs. Her passion for entreprenership was cemented as Venture Capital/Emerging Business lead at Microsoft UK. For five years, she lead BizSpark in the UK. (now Microsoft Ventures). She focused on how Microsoft could drive success for early-stage technology companies, and partnered with the UK Investor Community. She’s an active mentor at many top London Incubators

Known as Queen of Startups, Bindi has won industry accolades over the years. In 2016, Bindi was named by Computer Weekly as one of the 50 Most Influential Women in UK Tech, Innovate Finance named her as Top 100 Women in FinTech, and Business Cloud Magazine named her as Top 100 Women Blazing a Trail in Tech. In late 2015, Bindi was named Asian Women of the Year at the UK Asian Achievers Awards. In 2014, London Evening Standard named Bindi as part of the Silicon 60 and Top 1000 Influential Londoners, and GQ Magazine named her in Britain’s 100 Most Influential Women List. In 2013, The Guardian named her as one of the Ten Women in Tech to meet; Tech City News named her as one of the 25 faces behind the success of Europe’s fastest growing Tech Cluster. Bindi has been on the Wired UK Top 100 Digital Power Broker list from 2010 - 2012, on 2012 Girls in Tech Euro 100 Women's list, one of the Six Most Connected Women in the UK (IoD) in 2011.

Bindi was born in the UK, raised in Canada, but now calls London home.

Main Stage Compere

Known for compering large main stages over two-three days, ensuring a witty and personal introduction of the speaker. Great at ensuring the speakers remain to time and prepping in advance to ensure there is great introduction of the speaker, as well as dialogue on stage to ensure the conference is smooth running.

Panel Chair

Known for chairing panels on a wide range of subjects. Prep the speakers in advance with questions and plan the panel with the event content chair to ensure that the audience learn what they need to from the panel. Can also keep the panellists in line and to time (especially difficult ones!), know which question to serve to which panellist, and how to make sure it's a great dialogue and discussion on stage. Objective is to ensure the audience leaves satisfied. Can moderate anyone from CEOs to Politicians to Founders to Investors.

Fireside Moderator

Known for running in-depth fireside chats - to an "Oprah" level :) Prep with the speaker in advance to determine best questions and discussion angles as well as ensuring the speaker is able to to get the right messages across to a discerning audience. Can work wtih difficult characters, and work to bring out the best in them to ensure the Audience is satisfied. Can moderate anyone from top tier CEOs to Politicians to Founders to Investors.

A talk outlining my insights and views into trends around entrepreneurs? Based on 17+ years of working closely with 1000s of entrepreneurs and drawing parallels based on my observations. My press "Nickname" is Queen of Startups" so this is quite a fun presentation to deliver.

Observations of how to build a FinTech ecosystem, based on the insights from the London Fintech market. Loads of data and analysis in order to provide insights into size and scale of UK vs the local market that I am visiting. (Ie UK vs Dutch Fintech) - a good analytical presentation.
