At just 19 years old, Brandon Farbstein is an internationally renowned empowerment speaker and thought innovator.
He embarks on his mission to change the world one person at a time through his captivating talks to audiences ranging from youth, to business professionals, to conferences of 5,000 live.
His message has reached over one million people around the world in just two years, including at the Vice Presidential Debate (October 2016) and TEDx Talks.
Brandon uses charismatic influence to inspire and motivate, while leaving his audience with a stirring desire to be a catalyst for change.
Standing at 3’9”, you will quickly discover how Brandon has transformed the lives of so many individuals across the globe, with a shift in perspective about themselves and others.
At the age of 2, Brandon was diagnosed with a rare form of dwarfism called metatropic dysplasia, resulting in his current height being that of the average seven year old.
From day one of his journey, he quickly realized he would need to create solutions for the obstacles that would come his way each day.
Whether it was ingratiating himself with key decision makers since he could speak, or, Brandon was able to innovate his own solution and learned to pave his own path in the world.
As peers continued to grow in stature and tower over him year after year, Brandon discovered the many struggles he would face in a world that wasn’t designed for him. His battle with depression came to a peak at the age of 11, and the thoughts of ending his journey grew more imminent as the days became more painful.
Through an intense support system filled with strength and love, he worked to get out of his own way and continued to live life on his own terms…discovering how impactful it was to give more than you take.
Though Brandon was constantly on the stage since the age of 8, he still felt invisible and isolated.
That was, until a chance encounter at the airport gate where he and his family were waiting to catch a plane to Miami in October 2014. A woman approached Brandon after being intrigued by his Segway mobility device, and began making small talk. This small talk turned into an hour and 1/2 of discussion on his journey thus far, the various bumps in the road, and what he wanted to do with his life.
It turned out this woman was one of the driving forces behind the TEDx movement, and recommended that Brandon give a talk at a TEDx event that would be coming up a few months later.
On April 10, 2015, his journey changed forever. He stood on stage in front of nearly 2,000 sets of eyes as himself for the very first time- not playing a character, not having scripted lines. For six minutes, he presented his perspective of empowerment and innovation while telling his story, being vulnerable and authentic. It was in this moment Brandon discovered his absolute passion and purpose on why he is living the life he was given. Those six minutes would soon turn into the rest of his life.
