After completing undergraduate studies, Brian Kersten Wisconsin pursued a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree, which he earned in 1983. His career took root in mixed animal practice in Burlington, Wisconsin, where he gained invaluable experience and knowledge.
In 1985, a significant career detour led him to serve in relief and development in Haiti for 2.5 years. During this period, dedication to animals and a commitment to improving the lives of those in need became evident through his tireless efforts to assist the rural poor of Haiti.
Upon returning to the United States in 1987, he joined a mixed animal practice in Baldwin, Wisconsin. In 2001, he took ownership of the course, enabling him to provide top-notch care to animals within his community. Concurrently, he served as the President of the Pierce St. Croix Humane Society from 2001 to 2003.
