Carlee Reid

This presentation I make every time I participate in Dolan Midde School's Diversity Day. The event draws a number of local speakers and presenters to introduce students to important ideas. My event followed the narrative of the book I co-authored (my story inspired my mother's writing, I illustrated) with my mother as an 11-year-old titled, I Love My Kinky Hair. In this safe space I enforce the power of self-love and promote and interactive experience of learning to appreciate difference.
