From 1982-87 he worked as an international banker for Chemical Bank 277 Park Avenue, with banks and central banks in the Middle East and Turkey as principal customers.

Thereafter he established EMRG INC, consulting to international development agencies, concentrating on microfinance, agribusiness, privatization and new SME products for frontier economy banks. • I had the pleasure of serving with Cary Raditz for five years on the CFA Institute’s Disciplinary Review Committee (DRC) as both a fellow panelist and as a Chair of the DRC during Cary’s tenure. Cary approached his role as a member of the DRC with the utmost preparation, thoughtful analysis, and balanced objectivity. While these traits are all fundamental requirements for a DRC member, Cary always conducted himself in a manner that was respectful and mindful of all stakeholders. Oftentimes, DRC members find themselves in sensitive, tense environments, and Cary always managed to prudently balance his role as both an arbiter and as a fellow peer. It was this sense of “humanity” in which Cary shined. Cary’s ability to defuse a situation by “humanizing” it through a story, a vignette, or just a personal experience, is a skill that allows Cary to enter the discussion as if he is talking with you as opposed to at you. Additionally, Cary’s practice of meditation and mindfulness allowed Cary to bring a deeper sense of perspective, which undoubtedly added to the robustness of our discussions.

  • I've worked, volunteered, and socialized with Cary for over 10 years. He is insightful, thoughtful and engaging, and brings a wealth of experience from an unusually broad background in finance - both in subject matter and in geography. In addition, he brings a wealth of life experience and perspective, which when combined with his professional background makes for a powerful combination. Cary would be an outstanding speaker for any event that is looking to draw from both perspectives. Highly recommended.
