About
When it comes to emergency preparedness, experience is everything and few speakers bring the depth of real-world experience I do. I began my emergency management career in the United States Air Force and have been working in the field at every level of government since 2005. I've served as an Emergency Operations Manager at Homestead Air Reserve Base in Florida, where I managed the entire emergency management program for the base. I responded on the ground during Hurricane Harvey as part of the City of League City's emergency response. I've worked with FEMA at the federal level. Across nearly two decades, I've operated at the military, federal, state, and local levels giving me a 360-degree understanding of how emergency preparedness works in the real world, not just in a textbook. I also hold a graduate degree in Public Health with specialized expertise in maternal/child health, which means I don't just understand systems, I understand people. I bring that full-spectrum perspective into every training I deliver, translating complex frameworks into practical, actionable content that any audience can use immediately, whether that's a corporation, a government agency, a nonprofit, a church, or a community organization. When you book me, you're not getting a classroom instructor. You're getting a practitioner who has been in the field, managed real crises, and knows exactly what it takes to keep people safe when it matters most.
