My life started many decades ago in Switzerland. I was born and raised in Zurich. I didn’t have a master plan for my life. But deep down I longed for a connection that would last a lifetime like everybody else. I thought it would never happen and then I met my husband.
My husband is American. We met during his vacation in Switzerland at my sister’s place who was married to his friend. The first thing that captivated me was his big smile. I am a sucker for a great smile. The rest is history. Our long-distance dating was challenging, to say the least. My English was lousy and his German non-existent. But we managed and in 1995 we got married in California (yes, my English improved, lol) and settled near San Francisco.
We have been together ever since. Our marriage was not an easy ride. Cultural differences, financial problems, and more. You name it and it happened to us. We made it work because we are still together. Since 2013 we both have been working from home, which is difficult for many couples. We are so used to it that it feels weird when one is not around.
It took us many years to get there. Trial and error marked our journey. We learned to communicate more productively. Forgiveness, empathy, and most of all becoming a good listener was key to creating a happy, healthy, loving relationship.
Everything I teach and coach I have applied to my own life. I know what is required to get where I am now, and I can show you how too!
I little bit about my professional experience:
I am a trained life master coach and spent many years mentoring and guiding women who share their life with an addict. With my help, they learned how to cope with this tough situation.
I love working with women, but I realized that making a marriage/relationship better needs the participation of both partners. Otherwise, I might teach a woman how to cope with her situation, but the marriage problem does not get solved that way.
Picture two trapeze artists who must rely on each other 100% during their act. If only one knows how to catch and release at the right time … I think you can imagine what happens.
In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my husband and dog, and yes, exercising to stay fit. I love reading, Italian food, and hanging out with friends.
