Bio

Christina Strack kicked off her technology career advocating for adoption of email at a NOAA town hall in Washington, DC in 1994. Upon graduating college, she wrote an executive Quarterly Business Review program for the female CIO of Schwab. After her program was integrated into Schwab University, she then became the youngest Level 3 Tech at Oracle’s headquarters 1 year out of college. She left Oracle, and went on to found a systems integration consulting company, Werkflow. It was acquired by largest SAGE reseller in the Northeast 6 years later. After the acquisition, she received an offer from Dell, and returned to work in large enterprise. Her bag consisted of a 115 pound of EqualLogic SAN, and after lugging that around, she was promoted to become a Global Account Executive, selling Dell's portfolio to the whales of Wall Street in their Global Banking & Securities division. One of her customers was Morgan Stanley, where she was invited to come in-house to create a global Enduser Experience division. Ultimately she ended up at the behemoths of behemoths, Tata Consultancy Services, which as a subsidiary has $19 Bn in revenue, and $100 Bn in valuation.

Sales: Standing Your Ground | Owning The Land

Sales managers hire sellers for a variety of reasons. Gut instinct. Their looks. CIOs they claim as friends. The most valuable traits a salesperson can have is a rock-solid internal conviction, and never letting go of conversational achievement.

We need sellers with psychological strength, but we spend our budgets on CRM training. An impenetrable confidence, but we spend their time on the latest sales process fad. We know they need mastery of word choice and word order in meetings, but we have them scribble down elevator pitches.

In this presentation, Christina shares the conviction and communication insights gleaned from transcripts of enterprise sellers. She teaches sales leaders how to interview for this trait, and what can be done to strengthen your own team.

Sales: Get up, Stand up!

Everyone talks about people in sales having a high tolerance for rejection. Sales managers will tell you that you need to have thick skin. Peers tell you to keep on keeping on.

Ultimately you wake up, and have to face the dread that today is not yesterday.

With this presentation, Christina teaches sales teams how to convince yourself to get after it every day. From instilling daily habits that make pursuing success a habit, to confronting the actual reason we get held back, audiences walk away with a stronger mindset.

Sales: Coming to our (subconscious) senses

Large companies are all about having a process. A system. There's CRM. There's deal qualification. There's the QBR.

But nothing can take the place of your senses. Did the customer tell you they want to meet again? Did they actually mean it? Did they claim they needed collateral? Did they actually read it? Did the customer claim their CIO only rubber stamps their decisions? Are there CIO's who only rubber stamp?

In this presentation, Christina demonstrates how your senses are far more valuable than any sales process.
